Pre-SOMA

 

PreSOMA CSUEB is affiliated with CSUEB Pre-Professional Health Academic Program. Our group is open to current and alumni post-baccalaureate and undergraduate students at California State University East Bay.

 

Pre-SOMA is the official and only pre-medical organization directly affiliated with the Student Osteopathic Medical Association and the American Osteopathic Association. 

 

Mission of Pre-SOMA

To promote osteopathic  medicine, increase the number of applicants to osteopathic medical schools, support aspiring osteopathic physicians at all levels of education, and continue the legacy of osteopathic medicine. 

 

Osteopathic medicine is a community of physicians that practice holistic care and treat patients in a way that allows their body to find health.  Pre-SOMA is a way for pre-medical students to become a part of this community before getting into medical school.  It’s a way to help decide if osteopathic medicine is for you.
